The teddy bear was named after President Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt after he became famous for refusing to shoot a bear cub while on a hunting trip. The saved bear was named Teddy's bear and the rest is history. Teddy has a music box inside that plays "The Star Spangled Banner". He is made of russet mohair, 5-jointed with a gold-plated button in ear. He wears a replica of an original T.R. campaign button with a antiqued red, white and blue ribbon. He stands 30 cm tall and is a very special piece for any Steiff collector.
